| Bio |
Charlie Paplosky is an amazing talent on the harmonica. He's only been playing for just over a year and a half, and his presence on stage is felt like he's been playing all his life. Charlie has had a love for the blues for a long time, but his previous hobbies included racing. Since he's had to give up racing cars he has taken on the harmonica. He has many influences such as James Cotton, Harmonica Shaw, Billy Branch, and many more. Charlie has played with many local bands as well like: Dave Mell Blues Band, Lil' Ragu Blues band, Duck Soup. Charlie grew up in Reading, PA and had a love for cars; he now lives in Sinking Springs where he runs his Custom Shop called Paplosky's Speed shop. Charlie's love of cars and hot rods has given him a love for flames, so if you see him live or anywhere for that matter expect something flamed. Best of all once you meet Charlie you will agree that he is one of the nicest people you will ever meet, so if you get the chance say hello, and get out to listen to this fantastic harp player.
Tim Risbon has been playing the guitar for almost 8 years now, he began his love for music at an early age watching his grandfather Thomas Risbon play at all the family picnics. His first instrument was the recorder in 3rd grade; he didn't get very far with that when in 5th grade he began playing the saxophone. He soon became bored of playing songs from the school band and traded it in on an acoustic guitar. His father taught him his strongest point on the guitar which is his rhythm, and his uncle Matt showed him some scales to play lead. Outside of that he pretty much picked things up on his own. He has always had a love for the blues and that is his main style of playing. He also enjoys playing folk like Jim Croce, Art Bowers. He also plays Hank Williams SR, Jimmy Rodgers (1929 Hobo Bill). Tim has also Written his own music which is not of the blues style, he performs these originals usually when performing alone, since they are not blues. Tim also is very hard guitars and will usually break a string if possible to get the crowd going when he jams on just 5 strings. Having to pay for strings and being self-employed is why Tim plays the blues. So if you get the chance you should get out to see Tim play at local venues with the Acoustic Roadshow
