Evolving from a school project in 2006, Chris and Steve decided to collaborate, combining their musical talents to form a two-man jam band named Tattered Shred. After writing a few originals, they decided to add more instruments to the drum/guitar duo by his adding Holden to the mix on bass. With his creativeness and solid music background, he became a great addition to the up-and-coming band. Additions to the instrumentation didn't stop there, though, as Sam and Dylan joined to help make CCM become the five piece group that it is today.
Their songwriting process combines the thoughts and inputs of all five members, as each member brings something quite different to the table. During the summer of 2008, the band assembled their first full album, entitled Final Harvest. Southern and classic rock influences can be heard throughout the album, with roots of blues and country mixed in as well. A second album is currently in the works, promising new and exciting material that has taken the band in a new direction.
CCM's live show is a combination of original works and cover songs. With all five members working as one, they deliver an energetic, impressive, and philosophical performance no matter where they play. The band has performed in various types of venues, from the small party scene to the big stage before their entire community, as they are always pursuing more opportunities to play and to share their music with their current and future fans.
