Bio
It all started with the Acoustic Roadshow at the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen Fine Arts Show when Eric Fisher (solo guitarist/vocalist) and Emily Martin (fiddler for the Martin Family Band) played a horrible rendition of “Clinch Mountain Backstep” during Eric’s performance. “That was fun, but let’s never do it again,” Eric said after it was all said and done. So they never did that particular song again. Thinking it would be fun to play something together that they actually knew, they began working on some country/bluegrass songs. The name “Smith Brothers and Stanley” began as a joke, but amazingly enough, it stuck. You can see the brothers perform throughout Lebanon and Berks County and at various Acoustic Roadshow events; however, you will not see Stanely since he is a fictional character. If you would like the Smith Brothers and Stainly to perform for your event, see either the older brother or the more mature brother. Or you can ask Eric for a card. Or a CD. Or you can just pick up your local merchandiser or newspaper.
